Boy George Says Biopic Will Be “Brutally Honest”

As we told you, casting is underway for “Karma Chameleon,” a biopic on Culture Club frontman Boy George, and in a new interview he insists the movie will be “heartfelt and brutally honest.”
And it’s not like he could get away with embellishing his story. “All my stuff is out there. I’ve never really been a person who has had secrets,” he tells NME. “I’ve never had a press agent to stop these things coming out, so it’s all out there.”
Besides, he adds, “the truth is the most interesting thing, I don’t think there’s any need to fabricate.” He notes that it’s important that who ever is cast in the role “gets him,” adding, he doesn’t want them to think they “have to play a caricature.”
