Queen guitarist Brian May is putting fans’ imagination to the test. He’s launched a competition challenging fans to recreate a scene from the band’s history in 3D.
The process is called stereoscopy, where you combine a pair of 2D images to create a 3D illusion. Brian wants fans to recreate a scene from Queen’s history – whether it’s Freddie Mercury at Live Aid, or the band’s final show at Knebworth – and create a stereoscopic image using an 3D smartphone app.
Brain himself will be the judge, and the winner will get a Queen 3D bundle, including a copy of the “Bohemian Rhapsody” deluxe edition in 3D and more goodies. Fans can get more info on the contest and sign up by June 25th HERE. The winner will be announced on June 28th on London Stereoscopic Company’s social media pages.
