As we told you, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority just approved new Garden State Parkway rest stops to be named after famous Jersey natives, like Jon Bon Jovi and Whitney Houston. Well, fans couldn’t help but notice one name was surprisingly not on the list – Bruce Springsteen.
Well, it turns out The Boss wasn’t snubbed. He turned down the offer.
“Bruce Springsteen respectfully declined to have a service area named after him," Natasha Alagarasan, spokeswoman for the New Jersey Hall of Fame, shares. "It should be noted, though, that Bruce has been very supportive of the New Jersey Hall of Fame over the years, and is very much a part of the fabric of the Hall."
