It was a team-up no one saw coming on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden when The Killers were joined for their entire three-song encore by Bruce Springsteen. With The Boss onstage, the band performed the Springsteen classics “Badlands” and “Born to Run,” with Jake Clemons, the nephew of the late Clarence Clemons, on saxophone.
The encore finished with the Killers’ 2021 version of “A Dustland Fairytale,” a collaboration with Bruce. Springsteen has announced an upcoming covers album, “Only the Strong Survive,” that’s scheduled to release on November 11th.
