As we told you, last week Carlos Santana collapsed on stage while performing at Pine Knob Music Theatre near Detroit. The guitarist later revealed he was suffering from dehydration and heat exhaustion and it turns out he needs some more time to recover.

Santana announced he’s postponing six shows on his current tour in order to mend. Affected shows are scheduled July 8 to July 16, including stops in Cincinnati, Milwaukee and Dallas.

Santana’s rep says the postponements are being made "out of an abundance of caution for the artist's health,” with doctors recommending he rest.

His next show is scheduled for July 23rd in Paso Robles, California.
