Celine Dion’s sister has provided a bittersweet update on the singer. Claudette, 74, shares that Celine has been “lying low” in her Vegas house with her three sons René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson while dealing with her Stiff Persons Syndrome diagnosis.
Claudette reveals that it’s been an uphill battle for the “My Heart Will Go On” singer to find medications that work for her but says she’s persevering with the help of their other sister Linda, who has moved in to take care of Celine.
Claudette tells Le Journal De Montreal that Celine is taking the advice of top researchers and that when it comes to recovery, "I honestly think that she mostly needs to rest. She always goes above and beyond, she always tries to be the best and top of her game. At one point, your heart and your body are trying to tell you something. It's important to listen to it." She adds that Celine is working hard and hopes to get back to performing in the future.
As we previously reported, Celine, who is the youngest of 14 children, is struggling with a disease that causes muscle rigidity in the trunk and arms, often triggered by noise, touch, and stress.
