Wolfgang Van Halen Shrugs Off David Lee Roth Comments: Former Van Halen legend David Lee Roth might have beef with the band (and the Van Halen family), but one member isn’t getting involved with it. Wolfgang Van Halen, son of late rocker Eddie Van Halen, refused to fire back at Roth after the elder rocker recently called the younger one a “schlemiel kid” and accused of him “complaining” all the time. “I guess I’m honored he even thinks about me as much as he seems to,” shrugged Wolfgang. “I guess you have to take what he says with a grain of salt considering… he said he wrote all the solos that (my) Dad wrote.”

Billy Idol's "Rebel Yell" Is Getting A 40th Anniversary Reissue: 2024 means one classic Billy Idol album is turning 40. And to celebrate the birthday of “Rebel Yell,” the icon is reissuing a deluxe expanded version on April 26th. The new edition will include unreleased songs and demos, a Rose Royce cover of “Love Don’t Live Her Anymore,” original song “Best Way Out Of Here” from Idol himself and a remix of “Eyes Without A Face.” The collection will be available digitally, and on vinyl and CD formats. “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore” will be available on streaming tomorrow.

Michael McDonald To Make First New Doobie Bros Album In 40 Years: After 40 years, The Doobie Bros are takin’ it to the studio. Legendary solo singer Michael McDonald, who made himself with the band during their heyday, has made a return to the recording studio with the Doobies for the first time since 1980’s “One Step Closer.” “We are very close to finishing up an album’s worth of new songs,” revealed Pat Simmons on social media, who also called the new work “some of the best music we’ve ever made.” The return of McDonald followed his reunion with the band on last year’s 50th anniversary tour. Simmons says the group is “shooting for a spring/summer release.”
