Thanks to signal boosts from Metallica, U2, and more, Live Nation’s Crew Nation relief fund has managed to raise $18-million. The fundraiser aims to support concert crews around the world struggling for work amid coronavirus.
Live Nation has announced that the fundraiser has surpassed its goal, raising $18-million to help around 15,000 crew members in over 40 countries and all 50 United States. Most recently, Kings Of Leon donated over $500K in proceeds from their NFT sale, Twenty One Pilots donated a portion of proceeds from custom merch and a new song.
Metallica raised nearly $200K through their Month of Giving Campaign, and multiple donations have come in from Bono and U2. Brands like Yeti and Fender have also auctioned off custom pieces from artists like Billie Eilish and Eric Clapton to benefit the relief fund.
