Fans of the iconic duo Hall & Oates were shocked to learn over the weekend that Daryl Hall filed a restraining order against John Oates. After much speculation, details finally emerged that explained just what was going down against the “Maneater” stars.
“The Associated Press” reported that Hall is suing Oates over plans to sell his share of their act, which the former musician says violates their deal. The restraining order was allegedly a way to stop Oates’ sale “while legal proceedings and a previously initiated arbitration continue.” The singers often take time away from each other, with Hall once calling it “quite annoying” to be tied to a duo.
