Don McLean has shared a very special performance of his classic song “Vincent,” to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his album “American Pie,” which the song is featured on. The release is also in honor of song’s namesake Vincent Van Gogh, and the International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD).
The performance was shot February 28th at the Immersive Van Gogh exhibit in Los Angeles, and appears on the exhibit’s website.
As for the connection with Bipolar Disorder, many have speculated that the artist suffered from the mental condition. Those viewing the performance are being encouraged to donate to the ISBD. Check out the performance here.
