Elton John Admits He Still Struggles To Control His Temper

Elton John admits that his temper is still pretty hot. Speaking to “The Guardian,” the musician says controlling his infamous temper is still a struggle these days.

While he was in addiction recovery in the 90s, he was also treated for rage. And just like alcoholism, Elton says the anger never really left. But luckily, his sobriety, therapy, and his marriage to husband David Furnish have helped him through the struggle. Plus, he doesn’t want his kids to grow up “afraid” of him like he was of his parents.

“My behavior was so erratic and so unpredictable. And it’s still in me, to explode at any moment," Elton explains. "I’ve been trying to work on that for a long time and I’ve got a wonderful husband who knows how to get me out of that stuff.”
