It’s official: Elton John and Ed Sheeran are working on a Christmas song together. Elton just confirmed the news to “NME.”
Ed revealed they were collaborating in a radio interview earlier this month, saying Elton had reached out to him after his song “Step Into Christmas” hit the UK Top 10 for the first time ever. Speaking to “NME,” Elton says he was surprised to hear Ed reveal the news, since he was sworn to secrecy.
“Yeah, he let the cat out of the bag didn’t he?” he says. “I was sworn to secrecy and then big mouth f***g Sheeran goes to the Netherlands! It’s supposed to come out – we haven’t finished it yet, so there’s still work to be done.”
