Elton John Considering Future In The Metaverse

Once his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour is done next July, Elton John is done touring…in the real world, at least. Elton’s husband and manager David Furnish says they’re looking closely at the metaverse, which he says is “going to be a big new market for music discovery.” The metaverse might be a logical choice for the star since Furnish says 58% of Elton's catalog is consumed by 18 to 35-year-olds.

Part of their “five-year plan” is to figure out how Elton can start appearing in virtual reality, so even after the farewell tour ends, you could have Sir Elton John appearing on a screen near you in virtual form.
