Elton John will miss Oscars Party for First Time in 30 Years

For those unfamiliar with the annual bash, Elton John hosts an Oscars party every year to help raise money for his Aids Foundation.
Since the awards ceremony has been switched from its usual date in February to March 27th, his failure to attend is unavoidable as he'll be on his "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour. Elton is “gutted” he won't make the party, but says he couldn’t disappoint fans after the tour was previously postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sources say, "His husband David Furnish and a huge list of very special guests will be in attendance at the Oscars Party in Los Angeles and they will more than make up for his absence." The fundraising event is still anticipated to generate lots of money for charity and be a night for the books.
