Eric Clapton is hitting the road in America this September with a five-city run of shows in Columbus, Detroit, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and New York City. His opening act isn’t a surprise to fans…Jimmie Vaughn is a regular guest with Clapton, and he’ll be opening the American shows.
He’s currently in the middle of a European tour, but two dates in Europe, including one scheduled today in Milan, have been postponed because he has COVID. In a statement, it was announced that “He has been told by his medical advisers that if he were to resume traveling and performing too soon, it could substantially delay his full recovery.”
Tickets for the postponed shows will be good for the rescheduled dates, which will be set in the next six months. Here’s the five-city lineup for Clapton’s American tour in September:
- 8 – Columbus, Schottenstein Center
- 10 – Detroit, Little Caesars Arena
- 12-13 – Chicago, United Center
- 16 – Pittsburgh, PPG Paints Arena
- 18-19 – New York City, Madison Square Garden
