As we previously told you, Eric Clapton was forced to postpone two shows on his European tour after testing positive for COVID. Well, now he’s postponed some more. The latest are tonight and tomorrow’s shows in Bologna, Italy.

“Eric Clapton, whilst feeling fine in himself, has again tested positive for Covid this morning,” reads a statement on his website. “Whilst there is a strong body of medical opinion that after several days since the first positive test, a person is no longer infectious, it is by no means agreed by all.”

It adds, “Accordingly, Eric does not want to travel while still testing positive and take the risk of infecting others. There is also a risk that the Italian authorities would not, in the circumstances, permit his entry into Italy.”

Clapton, a vocal anti-Vaxxer, says the show will be rescheduled by the end of the year, noting, “The announcement of the new dates will be made within the next two weeks, and tickets purchased will remain valid for the new rescheduled dates.”

Eric’s next scheduled show is supposed to happen May 29th in Berlin.
