Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie is the latest artist to sell off her song catalog. The new owner of her 115 song-catalog is the music company Hipgnosis, which acquired copyright, ownership and financial interest to the songs, and more.
McVie isn’t the first Fleetwood Mac member to sell off their catalog. In fact she is the fourth. Lindsey Buckingham sold his publishing rights to Hipgnosis back in January, while Stevie Nicks sold hers to Primary Wave last year for $100 million and Mick Fleetwood sold his rights to BMG in January.
McVie’s songwriting credits include some of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band's biggest hits, including “Don’t Stop,” “You Make Loving Fun,” “Over My Head,” “Songbird,” and “Say You Love Me.” The deal is also good for her pre-Mac career, and her solo material.
