Global Citizen Enlists More Artists For “Social Media Rally” To Help Ukraine

As we told you, on Friday Global Citizen is holding a “social media rally” to urge governments to increase their support for humanitarian efforts for Ukraine. They’ve enlisted a boatload of stars to help, and now that list has gotten even longer. 

The latest musicians to join the rally include Adam Lambert, Arlo Parks, Ashlee Simpson, Barenaked Ladies, Bastille, Billy Porter, Bruce Springsteen, Carole King, Christine and the Queens, Dave Matthews, Ellie Goulding, Fall Out Boy, Hozier, Jon Bon Jovi, Julian Lennon, KD Lang, Kesha, Luis Fonsi, MÅNESKIN, Metallica, Noah Cyrus, Nuno Bettencourt, Panic! At The Disco, Rita Ora, Rufus Wainwright, Third Eye Blind, 5 Seconds of Summer and more. 

They join previously announced artists Madonna, U2, Billie Eilish, the Weeknd, Radiohead, Luke Combs, Katy Perry, Celine Dion, Garth Brooks, Billy Joel Red Hot Chili Peppers. Kacey Musgraves, Stevie Wonder, Green Day, Finneas, Stevie Nicks, Tame Impala, the Jonas Brothers, Usher, Elton John, Pearl Jam, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood and more. 

According to the announcement these artists will “take to social media to galvanize citizens across the globe to unite and speak out to governments, institutions, corporations, and individuals, asking them to provide additional emergency funding needed to help the millions displaced by the invasion in Ukraine, and to those on the move worldwide.”
