Global Citizen Enlists Over 40 Artists For “Social Media Rally” To Help Ukraine

Global Citizen is launching what they are calling a “social media rally” next month to urge governments to increase their support for humanitarian efforts for Ukraine and they’ve enlisted a boatload of stars to help.
Over 40 music artists have signed on for the campaign, set for April 8th to 9th, including Madonna, U2, Billie Eilish, the Weeknd, Radiohead, Luke Combs, Katy Perry, Celine Dion, Garth Brooks, Billy Joel and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Others on board to help include Kacey Musgraves, Leon Bridges, Stevie Wonder, Green Day, Finneas, Stevie Nicks, Tame Impala, the Jonas Brothers, Usher, Elton John with David Furnish, Trisha Yearwood, Demi Lovato, , Annie Lennox, , Ryan Tedder, Ozzy Osbourne, Pearl Jam and more.
According to the announcement these artists will “take to social media to galvanize citizens across the globe to unite and speak out to governments, institutions, corporations, and individuals, asking them to provide additional emergency funding needed to help the millions displaced by the invasion in Ukraine, and to those on the move worldwide.”
