As we told you, a new Mary Wilson box set is coming out March 4th, and now we’ve gotten a little taste of what to expect.
A previously unreleased version of Mary singing “Son of a Preacher Man” has just been released. While the song has been covered by many, it’s Mary’s friend Dusty Springfield’s version that is the most well-known, reaching as high as 10 on the U.S. charts in 1968.
Mary’s version is featured on “Mary Wilson’s The Motown Anthology,” a package that includes 38 songs, 33 of which will only be available on the physical release of the album.
