A lucky Grateful Dead fan has gotten their hands on a special piece of band memorabilia. In case you missed it, an old Grateful Dead t-shirt once owned by the band’s longtime soundman Dan Healy.

The large yellow graphic tee was designed by Hells Angel Merry Pranksters and late counterculture artist Allan “Gut” Terk,” both 1960s scenesters. It was kept in “excellent” condition since the late 60s, despite being used during some of the Dead’s early “major performances.”

The t-shirt sold to the highest bidder for $17,640 during a Sotheby’s auction last week. That’s more than double the original estimates of up to $8,000.
