INXS’ “The Very Best Of” Reaches Diamond Status

INXS has just reached a new sales milestone. The band’s 2011 greatest hits album, “The Very Best Of,” has just been certified Diamond by the RIAA for sales of over 500,000 copies.
“The Very Best Of” is a pretty huge album in Australia. In fact, earlier this year ARIA named it the Australian Album of the Decade. It spent seven weeks at number one Down Under, and has been in the Top 100 for 430 weeks.
And it’s understandable why, considering all the great songs on the record, including such INXS hits as “Need You Tonight,” “Never Tear Us Apart,” Original Sin,” “Mystify,” “New Sensation” and “What You Need.”
