If you’re a Janet Jackson fan, you’re gonna love this. As we told you, she’s placing more than a thousand of her personal items – including her key earring and stuff from her “Rhythm Nation” tour – up for auction to celebrate her 55th birthday.
Some of the most noteworthy items that will be up for grabs include Janet’s iconic black jacket from the “Rhythm Nation” music video, a black “1814” cap and black satin gloves with a metal plaque embellishment, the black coat she wore during her 1990 Rhythm Nation World Tour, a white tracksuit she wore as a child, and many more great finds.
Even though the Julien’s Auctions event happens the weekend of May 14th through 16th in Los Angeles, several items will be on window display at the Hard Rock Café Piccadilly Circus in London from April 19th through 23rd. The best part of all of this is that a portion of the auction, as well as all proceeds from the signed, special edition box set, will be given to Compassion International.
