Eddie Van Halen passed away in October of 2020, but his legacy and music lives on, and it sounds like fans may get to celebrate it live again one day.
Guitarist Joe Satriani shares in a new interview with the “Rock of Nations With Dave Kinchen” podcast, that a possible Van Halen tribute tour has been talked about with Alex Van Halen and David Lee Roth.
“I've been talking with Alex and Dave for about a year about doing something — a tour, something like that — that was going to be a true tribute to Eddie and the Van Halen legacy," he shares, admitting the idea is a little overwhelming. He notes, "For me, it was a terrifying prospect of doing something like that, but I realized that it was something that would be a real labor of love for me.”
He adds, "I was just so honored to take on the challenge."
So far there’s no word on whether it will actually happen.
