The sixth Annual Love Rocks concert went down at New York’s Beacon Theater, featuring a reunion of Keith Richards and his band the X-Pensive Winos, with guitarist Waddy Watchel, drummer Steve Jordan, keyboardist Ivan Neville and bassist Charlie Drayton.
The performance was the group’s first since 1993, with the Keith and the band playing “999,” and the Rolling Stones’ “You Got The Silver” and “Before They Make Me Run.”
The concert, which raises money for God’s Love We Deliver, a volunteer-based organization that provides medically tailored meals for people living with severe illnesses, also featured performances by Mavis Staples, Melissa Etheridge, Hozier, Warren Haynes, Allison Russell, Maggie Rose and more, with a guest appearance by Jackson Browne who joined Gov’t Mule for “Running On Empty.”
