Lionel Richie Signs Publishing Deal With Universal Music

Lionel Richie has signed a new global publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group, which includes all the songs he wrote during his solo career, including hits like “Lady,” “All Night Long,” “Hello,” “We Are The World,” and more.

“Having partnered with Universal Music as recording artist for almost my entire career, joining the UMPG family as a songwriter feels like coming home,” Lionel shares. “With their outstanding global team, I know my songs are in the best hands and I’m excited for what we can accomplish together.” 

There no word on how much the deal was worth.
