A rock legend likes to have a little insurance when he’s reading. Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger says he’s an avid reader and reads two books at a time in case one bores him, saying “Sometimes it’s hard to find a book that holds your attention.”
Jagger says, “I try to read one fiction book at the same time as a non-fiction book,” and is fascinated with historical books about military empires. In an interview on German radio, he said the last book he read was “about the history of the Ottoman Empire.”
He’s also excited that he’s written a track to be a TV theme for the first time in his career; the song ‘Strange Game’ for the Apple TV+ series ‘Slow Horses,’ based on the Mick Herron books. Jagger says he’s read the series and is a fan.
