Barbra Streisand is being honored by the Screen Actors Guild. The iconic actress is set to receive the 2024 SAG Lifetime Achievement Award at the 30th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards! She will be the 59th person to receive the award. The awards show will be on Netflix on February 24th.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is given out each year to an actor who shows the “finest ideals of the acting profession,” according to SAG. Streisand certainly has a storied career, with two Academy Awards, eight GRAMMYs, five Emmys, and one honorary Tony.
“Ever since I was a young girl…I dreamed of being one of those actresses I saw on the screen. The movies were a portal to a world I could only imagine…This award is especially meaningful to me because it comes from my fellow actors, whom I so admire,” Streisand said in a statement.
