Neil Peart’s Classic Car Collection Sells At Auction

Cars that were owned by Neil Peart have gone to the highest bidder. The late Rush drummer’s collection of classic cars sold at auction over the weekend.
The “Silver Surfers” collection hit the auction block as part of Gooding & Company’s 17th annual Pebble Beach Auctions. Seven of Peart’s cars were up for sale... which includes:
- 1964 Aston Martin DB5
- 1964 Shelby Cobra 289
- 1970 Lamborghini Miura P400 S
- 1965 Maserati Mistral Spyder
- 1964 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8-Litre Coupe
- 1973 Maserati Ghibli 4.9 SS Coupe
- 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe
The cars sold for a total of $3-point-nine-million, except for the ‘64 Aston Martin which will be sold at a later date. The 1970 Lambo went for the highest amount at $1-point-325-million.
