As we told you, a new George Michael documentary, “George Michael Freedom Uncut,” will hit theaters as a global cinema event on June 22nd. Well, now we are getting another look at the film.
A newly released clip focuses on one of Michael’s biggest hits, “Freedom ‘90” and the star-studded video that featured supermodels Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, and Tatjana Patitz, but no appearance by Michael.
“It changed the whole face of how videos were done,” Elton John says in the clip. “The video said everything. It was genius and it was a revolutionary thing.”
Marc Ronson also appears in the clip, calling the song “the Mona Lisa,” noting, “you’re striving to make something every time you go into the studio, half as good as that.”
