The coronavirus has affected yet another music festival, although it’s not canceled, just delayed a little. The annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is moving from its usual spring schedule to the fall.

The 2021 edition was originally scheduled for April 22nd to May 2nd, but it’s now been pushed to October 8th to 17th

“We are all ready to get together again and share that special spirit that lives at Jazz Fest. It’s taking longer than we want, but we’ll all have our celebration when the time comes,” Quint Davis, Producer/Director of Jazz Fest, says. “Your health, along with the health of our musicians, food and crafts vendors, and all of the folks that work to make the magic happen, remains the priority as we plan the return of Jazz Fest.”

Lineup announcements are expected in the spring. Last year’s festival was supposed to feature The Who. Foo Fighters, Dead & Company, Stevie Nicks, Lionel Richie and more. Tickets for the 2020 will be honored for the new dates.
