This year marks the 50th anniversary of Helen Reddy’s feminist classic “I Am Woman,” and in honor of the occasion Universal Music is putting a spotlight on the song with a new video and interactive mural.
Being released in conjunction with the beginning of Women’s History Month, and the upcoming International Woman’s Day (March 8th) the mural, designed by Sara Serna and painted by Marcine Franckowiak, is located at 1239 Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, California and will be on display for several weeks.
The new lyric video for the song is out now, and as part of the celebration UMe has also created a playlist featuring empowering songs by women around the world, including Deana Carter’s "Did I Shave My Legs For This?,” Jessie J’s "Who You Are,” Mickey Guyton’s "Remember Her Name,” Shania Twain’s "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!," and Linda Ronstadt’s “You're No Good.”
