Are NKOTB - New Kids On The Block - doing what Beyonce, Lana Del Rey and other pop stars have done and ventured into the country genre? The band visited "The Kelly Clarkson Show" Friday when Kelly asked them if they have ever considered branching out into other genres of music. Jordan Knight raised his hand and announced, "Country!" The audience loved the idea. Was he serious?
He went on to explain that there was one country song on the upcoming album of new material, a song written by band member Joey McIntyre. McIntyre, however, laughingly disagreed, saying the only reason Knight thinks it's country is because it has the word "barn" in the title. Clarkson asked the obvious followup - what's the name of the song? "Having A Party In The Barn." He then admitted that the song "does have some 'twang' to it," before Knight reiterated, "I think we should do a country album." McIntyre backed him up, saying "Done!" Their new album, probably not that country, is called "Still Kids" and comes out May 17.
