Ryan Coogler's Making A Jukebox Musical Movie About Prince: Hollywood’s making a movie about Prince… and it seems like it’s going to be fitting of the late rocker. Ryan Coogler, who brought both the “Creed” and “Black Panther” franchises to life, is reportedly taking the lead on what is being called “a jukebox musical movie.” Writer Bryan Edward Hill, whose credits include TV’s “Ash Vs. Evil Dead,” is working on the script. The announcement comes as Prince’s classic 80s film “Purple Rain” turns 40 this year.
