Patti Smith is the latest to record a live session at the famed Electric Lady Studios. She’s released a surprise new EP, “Live at Electric Lady.”
The session includes live renditions of her songs “Ghost Dance,” “Broken Flag,” and “Birdland,” along with covers of Stevie Wonder’s “Blame It On The Sun” and Bob Dylan’s “One Too Many Mornings.”
Smith is the second “Live At Electric Lady” release after Jon Batiste. The EP also marks her first new recordings since 2012’s “Banga.”
