Pete Townshend is ready to get back in the studio with The Who. In a new interview, PPete says he’s been working on some new tunes in quarantine – enough to make a new Who record after lockdown.

Speaking to “Uncut,” Pete says he’s sitting on “pages and pages of draft lyrics.” After lockdown is over, he’s feeling ready to get into the studio to work with The Who on a new album… but only “if the moment comes.” While he’s looking forward to new music, Pete’s also reflecting on The Who’s past.

For me, the past is something I’m very, very proud of,” he says. “I’m amazed at how much I achieved in the first five or six years of The Who’s career.”
