Robbie Robertson Sells His Catalog

Robbie Robertson is the latest artist to sell his catalog. The Band frontman has sold his music publishing, recorded interests and name, image and likeness rights to the new firm Iconoclast, founded by former Iconic Artist Group CEO Olivier Chastan.
According to “Variety” the deal is worth close to $25 million, and covers his entire six-decade career. As part of the deal, Robertson has joined Iconoclast’s board.
Robertson notes, “Olivier’s deep appreciation for art and creativity infused with his vision for the future of entertainment convinced me that Iconoclast was the right partner to entrust with the legacy of The Band and my catalog.”
