Simple Minds sells catalog to BMG: Simple Minds are the latest artist to sell their music rights. The band’s Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill have sold their "key music interests” to BMG. “We are very pleased to have struck this deal,” Kerr says. “It feels like the right time for us and our families. We look forward to working with everyone at BMG.” The agreement covers their publishing rights, neighboring rights and royalties from their catalog.
