Don’t expect to see classic rocker Stephen Stills on the road anytime soon. The 78-year old CSNY legend was recently very candid with his thoughts on touring these days. “The idea of touring absolutely appalls me,” Still admits. “I can’t imagine being on the bus for 14 hours. You can’t take drugs anymore. It’s no longer fun.”
And though Stills won’t be touring again, he does admit to staying very active. “(Neil Young and I) hang out in the studio. We play old songs. We play other people’s songs,” said the rocker. “We just play together, the two of us. We then listen to the records and go, ‘Oh, God, we missed that by a mile.’ But we do it every week.”
Stills and Young will reunite for the Light Up The Blues fundraiser for Autism Speaks this April. And he even confesses he’s still writing new music. “At this age, it’s done one day at a time and one song at a time.”
