The Guitar Keith Richards Shot Is Up For Auction

Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has plenty of crazy on-and-off stage stories under his belt. One of them? That time he shot his own guitar with a gun during an argument with bandmate Ronnie Wood. Now, that same guitar is up for auction.
The wild story is told in Ronnie’s then-wife Jo Woods’ memoir. Back in 1995, the Stones were hanging out at a hotel in Memphis, where Keith walked in on Ronnie jamming on his 1952 Gibson SJ Southern Jumbo Sunburst Acoustic Guitar… and put a bullet in it. The guitar may never sound the same, but it’s worth a pretty penny now.
The shot-up guitar is on the block at New Jersey-based auction house Gotta Have Rock and Roll. Bidding starts at $150,000, and the auction ends in a couple of days. Check out the listing HERE.
