The stars came out in New York City to help music mogul Clive Davis celebrate his 90th birthday.
The bash, held at Cipriani South Street at Casa Cipriani in Lower Manhattan, was attended by close to 600 guests and featured performances by Barry Manilow, Patti Smith, Dionne Warwick, Kenny G, Art Garfunkel, Earth Wind & Fire, Bruce Springsteen and Alicia Keys.
Manilow performed a medley of his hits, while Patti spoke the lyrics to her 1988 song “People Have the Power” and sang “Because the Night.” Bruce was not at the party, because he was “quarantined” at home, but sent a video of him performing “Blinded by the Light,” which he said he wrote after Clive rejected his debut album.
Among the other performances: Dionne sang “That’s What Friends Are For,” Garfunkel performed “Sound of Silence,” Earth, Wind & Fire performed a medley, including their hit “September,” and Alicia sang happy birthday to the guest of honor.
The night ended with DJ Mark Ronson playing a “megamix” of songs from across Davis’ 60-year career.
