Tom Petty’s “Wildflowers” reissue tops the “Billboard” Rock Albums chart this week, moving 44,000 equivalent album units. The reissue included a deluxe box set, “Wildflowers & All the Rest,” which is included in the total sales.
The album is Tom’s sixth number one Rock record, making him one of only four artists to achieve such a feat. Others include Bruce Springsteen/The E Street Band and Dave Matthews/Dave Matthews Band, who each have six, and John Mayer, who has seven.
As we previously told you, the 1994 “Wildflowers” also debuted at number five on the “Billboard” 200 Album chart this week.
