U2’s The Edge has organized an epic guitar auction for a good cause. He’s teamed up with Bob Ezrin to donate dozens of music legends’ instruments to benefit the organization Music Rising, which supports self-employed musician impacted by disasters – and most recently, the pandemic.

The instruments on the auction block have been played by the likes of The Edge himself, Bono, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Slash, Bruce Springsteen, Lenny Kravitz, Eddie Vedder, Paul Stanley, Joan Jett, and many more. That includes The Edge’s 2005 limited edition Les Paul Music Rising guitar, Paul’s tour and studio-played left-handed “Wings” Yamaha BB-1200 electric bass, and Bono’s custom Gibson ES-175 electric guitar.

The auction takes place at Van Eaton Galleries in Sherman Oaks, California on December 11th at 10am PT. There will also be a live stream of the auction across several platforms. Check out more info HERE.
