UB40 has named a new singer. Last week frontman Duncan Campbell announced he was retiring after suffering a seizure last month. Well, now the band announced that Matt Doyle, from the reggae band KIOKO, is taking his place.

"I don’t quite know how to put into words just how incredibly honoured and grateful I feel to be given this opportunity,” Doyle said in a statement. “I have loved UB40’s music for as long as I can remember and that love has only grown since getting to know them and watching them play live night after night on tour.”

KIOKO has gone on tour as a support act for UB40 several times. And Doyle previously contributed vocals to “You Don’t Call Anymore,” which appeared on UB40’s recent collaborations album “Bigga Baggariddim.”
