Whitney Houston Biopic Lands At Sony

The planned Whitney Houston biopic has found a studio. The film, “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” has been purchased by Sony, who expects to release it Thanksgiving 2022.
The film is being made in collaboration with the late singer’s estate, and Whitney’s good friend, music exec Clive Davis, is one of the producers. So far nobody’s been cast to play Whitney.
Since it’s being made with the Estate, Whitney’s music is expected to be featured in the film.
