Yusuf/Cat Stevens Announces Star-Studded CatSong Festival Livestream

As we told you, Yusuf/Cat Stevens is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his classic 1970 albums “Tea for the Tillerman” and “Mona Bone Jakon,” and the latest addition to the festivities is a new star-studded livestream.

The CatSong Festival will feature 40 artists performing classic tunes by the singer including such tracks as "Wild World,” “Peace Train,” “Father And Son.” Artists confirmed for the event include Haim, Dave Matthews, Jack Johnson, Feist, Incubus’ Brandon Boyd, James Morrison, Bonnie “Prince” Billy & Matt Sweeney and more. 

“It’s great to see and hear these covers of my songs given new life,” Stevens said. “There’s no better honor for a songwriter than to have his songs performed by talented musicians with such love and sincerity. Thank you.”

The CatSong Festival will air live on YouTube Saturday at 3 pm ET.
