This year marks the 40^th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s classic album “Thriller” and Sony Music and the late singer’s Estate are celebrating with a new double CD set.

With the new David Bowie documentary “Moonage Daydream” headed to theaters on September 16^th, fans are getting more Bowie than they bargained for with the announcement of a companion album for the film. The album will feature songs from the late musician’s career, including previously unheard material, dialogue from Bowie, and new mixes of classics.

Crowded House will not be heading out on tour as planned. The group just announced that they have to postpone the tour because of their drummer Elroy Finn’s back issues.

Joni Mitchell has a new honor to be proud of. The legendary singer just received an honorary doctorate from Berklee College of Music, during a private gathering in Santa Monica, California.

We told you earlier this month that a pretty nasty letter John Lennon wrote to Paul McCartney in the ‘70s was up for auction and had already seen a high bid at that point of $33k. 

Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of Rolling Stone drummer Charlie Watts’ death and the band paid tribute to him on social media. The group posted a tribute video to their late drummer, captioning it, “One year on without our beloved Charlie. Remembering him and all the incredible things he achieved in his life.”

There’s no doubt Harry Styles is hot at the moment, but the family of Michael Jackson is taking issue with a recent article that dubbed him the new “King of Pop.” In a recent “Rolling Stone UK” article, they referred to Harry as the new “King of Pop,” a name usually used for Jackson, and the late singer’s nephew took issue with it.

As we told you, the Elton John/Britney Spears collaboration “Hold Me Closer” is dropping Friday, and apparently Elton was a little anxious to let fans hear it.

Looks like Paul Simon is working on some new music. According to cabaret singer Barbara Fasano, the legendary singer is hard at work at New York’s Reservoir Studio, although he was apparently not too busy to help her out.

Lindsey Buckingham is hitting the road for a Fall 2022 North American tour in support of his self-titled album. The tour kicks off on October 26^th in Bristol, Tennessee, and runs through the November 19^th show in Augusta, Georgia.

For their second to last performance of their six-show residence at Wembley Stadium in London, Coldplay treated the crowd to some fun covers. During their Saturday night set, the group welcomed a unique trio made up of musicians Jacob Collier and Nicole Lawrence and actor Steve Coogan (appearing as his talk show host character Alan Partridge) to perform with them.

After decades in the music biz, The Proclaimers admit that even they’re surprised they’re still going strong. Craig and Charlie Reid formed the band back in 1983 and Craig confesses they’ve already exceeded their expectations for career success.

Todd Rundgren is ready to drop a new album. The artist, who’ll be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year, will release the collaborative album “Space Force” on October 14^th.
