  • Micky Dolenz, the last surviving member of The Monkees, is hitting the road next year to celebrate the band’s 1967 album “Headquarters."
  • The tour kicks off April 1st in Orlando, and will have Micky playing the album in its entirety.
  • The Monkees will also be releasing a limited-edition four-CD/7-inch vinyl box set of "Headquarters," with 69 previously unreleased tracks.

  • Jerry Lee Lewis passed away Friday at the age of 87.
  • He's best known for such songs as “Great Balls of Fire” and “Whole Lotta Shakin Going On, which he released in 1958 at just 22-years-old.

Bruce Springsteen Releases Cover Of “Don’t Play That Song”

  • Bruce Springsteen has given fans another taste of his upcoming album, “Only The Strong Survive,” which drops November 11th.
  • The latest is a cover of the Ben E. King track “Don’t Play That Song."
  • Originally released in 1962, the song,  was one of King’s biggest hits, hitting number 11 on the Hot 100 chart.

  • The members of REO Speedwagon are mourning the loss of their original bassist, Gregg Philbin, who has passed away.
  • In a post on their website Kevin Cronin writes that “his health had been an issue for some time, and today his soul is freed.”
  • Gregg played on the first six Speedwagon albums, as well as the "Live" You Get What You Play For" double-live album.

David Crosby Criticized For Calling Iron Maiden “Noise”

  • David Crosby got called out after sharing his opinion about Iron Maiden on social media.
  • When a friend tweeted about seeing Maiden's show he replied,  “It’s so weird to me that you like that noise.”

  • David’s friend Vin Downes shared a tweet about how much fun he had at a recent Maiden show in Kansas, noting “they’re still as tight as ever and put on an amazing show.” But apparently David wasn’t impressed, responding, “It’s so weird to me that you like that noise.”
  •  Several people clapped back at David for his opinion, including Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick, who said he shouldn’t criticize them if he hasn’t seen the band live.
